The Mobilization Committee’s focus is on building a strong grassroots infrastructure, which can mobilize union members effectively. The Mobilization Committee centers on supporting organizing drives and contract fights as well as important direct actions on issues that affect working families. Over the next several months the Committee will focus on building a rapid response team of 1% of union members in their community to respond to any crisis, building an ongoing mobilization program that can turn out large numbers of union members for each other’s fights, and hold actions that build labor’s profile and strength within our communities
