The Greater Boston Labor Council holds an Annual Legislative Breakfast for state lawmakers from within its twenty-four community jurisdiction. Held in late February/early March, the breakfast provides an opportunity to outline labor’s state legislative agenda to an influential group of lawmakers. Over a quarter of the 200 member legislature resides within the GBLC jurisdiction including the House Speaker, Senate President, and the House Ways and Means Chairman. In 2005 more than forty members of the House of Representatives and the State Senate attended the GBLC annual breakfast.
