In 2004 the GBLC held its first Municipal Office Holders Dinner. Designed as an effort to strengthen ties with municipal officials including mayors, city councilors, and town selectman the event has become a mainstay in the GBLC calendar. Held in late November the event also serves as an important fundraiser for the GBLC. The success of the dinner ad-book has allowed the GBLC to maintain its modest per-capita tax.
