Teamsters Local 25 Wins Recognition Strike at Horizon

Sixty workers at Horizon Air Freighters went on strike at 5:00 AM the morning of Monday, May 18.  The workers voted last year to join a union but Horizon was denying them a reasonable contract with living wages and respect. Furthermore, the company had hired the notorious union-busting law firm of Foley Hoag to delay those workers in their quest for justice in the workplace.   The picket line was going 24 hours a day from Monday until Thursday, May 21st, when Horizon capitulated and recognized the union.  It was a big victory for Teamsters Local 25, and they expressed their gratitude for the support of GBLC union activists and supporters on the picket line!
