On the morning of Thursday, February 2, 2010, Boston area union leaders met with State Senators Sonia Chang-Diaz and Ken Donnelly. The next coffee chat is in the process of being scheduled.

The UFCW's master agreement with New England Stop and Shops, which covers over 40,000 workers, expired on February 21. The GBLC is encouraging its members to get involved in their campaign.

On Friday, January 29, 2010 over 1,000 supporters including a large contingent of unionists attended a fundraiser held at Florian Hall for the family of Jerry Leary. Brother Leary, the Vice-President of IBEW Local 2222 and a GBLC board member, passed away in December after a valiant fight against cancer.
