On the morning of Tuesday, January 26, 2010, Boston area union leaders met with State Senators Steve Tolman and Anthony Petruccelli to discuss various legislative issues.

Sandy Felder, who serves as the Regional Director of the AFL- CIO for the Northeast region, was appointed Acting Field Director this week.

AFGE Local 2617, which represents Transportation Security Officers at Logan Airport, are fighting for their members' rights; that fight that included a successful press conference on Friday, January 8th.  

 At the GBLC monthly delegates' meeting on Tuesday, January 5th, council leadership presented Steve Lyons, of Jerry's own local, IBEW 2222, with a $1000 check for the Leary Family Fund in honor of Jerry Leary. Unionists at the meeting gave their support, and all were encouraged to attend the event on January 29th.
